Motive Power Marine, LLC Motive Power Marine Division – doing business as Motive Power Marine LLC is a HUBZone certified small business that provides marine vessel maintenance, repair, cleaning, preservation, inspection, and transport services to federal government agencies.
Through prime federal contract awards, Motive Power Marine has provided extensive maintenance, repair, cleaning, blasting, preservation, inspection, and transport services for Navy vessels and barges to support readiness of surface and expeditionary forces. This work has been funded by the Naval Sea Systems Command and performed at Motive Power Marine’s facility in Tacoma, Washington. Services have included preparations for returning vessels to the government, such as on the YD-263 floating crane ($4.1M); transporting and preservation work on the Edgecumbe Barge ($1.3M); and maintenance, repair and preservation on the APL-62 berthing and messing barge ($4.7M). Motive Power Marine has also provided drydock services as a subcontractor to prime contractor PAE Applied Technologies LLC. Several awards have been set aside and sole sourced for Motive Power Marine as a qualified HUBZone small business.
