Quality, Environmental, Safety & Health Committee
QESH Committee Mission
The Quality, Environmental, Safety and Health (QESH) Committee is a joint public-private organization dedicated to:
- Protecting the environment
- Ensuring ship repair industry workers are afforded a safe and healthy working environment
- Striving for the best quality outcomes for repair work performed on US Navy ships
QESH Committee Process
To achieve our mission the QESH Committee:
- Meets once a Quarter at designated location.
- Elects two chairpersons, one each from the Government and one for Industry to jointly run the committee meetings.
- Works to formal agendas and publishes meeting minutes and action items.
- Has representation from two members of the PSSRA Board of Directors
- Organizes periodic Industry Days to further the QESH Committee mission and to enhance the knowledge of our industry members.
- Reviews recent developments and requirements changes in the areas of quality and environmental, safety and health.
- Reviews performance trends in the areas of quality and environmental, safety and health
- Shares information with our industry through e-mail and web site postings
Come and join us! The QESH Committee meetings are open to any member of the PSSRA. If you have an interest in quality, safety or environmental topics and would like to contribute to improving the processes and procedures that are currently used in these areas then we’d like to have you contribute to our committee.
