AEU is the program administrator for a group mutual association based in Bermuda, American Longshore Mutual Association, Ltd. (ALMA), which is authorized to provide USL&H by the U.S. Department of Labor. In addition, AEU has binding authority with Great American Insurance Company and PMA to provide a companion State Act Workers’ Compensation program. AEU also has an underwriting agreement with Lloyd’s of London syndicate Novae to provide Maritime Employers’ Liability. AEU has its beginnings in the maritime industry, and this background has yielded invaluable knowledge and experience.  We understand this business inside and out, and we put this understanding to work in everything we do. AEU has established strong relationships with brokers who service maritime companies including ship builders, ship repairers, marine terminal operators, stevedores, steamship agents, marine contractors and other waterfront businesses.
